Independence Day Celebrations 15th Aug 2011

August 15th is a day of celebration, a day when we rejoice our freedom and pay homage to those who laid down their lives for us. A festival every Indian holds dearest to his heart, Independence Day commemorates the arduous journey that was undertaken by millions of brave Indians to break away from the shackles of colonial rule.

On this auspicious day Valmiki Foundation celebrated with the children of “Valmiki Hriday”. All the children and members of Valmiki Foundation participated in flag hoisting ceremony. President Mr.Surya Ganesh Valmiki hoisted the flag, followed by national Anthem. Our president addressed the children, in his message he shared the importance of education, suggested to study well to design their careers and also he shared that through our foundation he will send the children abroad if any body interested for higher education in future.

All the children of "Valmiki Hriday" performed some cultural programmes like singing and dancing on patriotic songs. With in a short a span all the children practised well and they performed like to be professionals.

The staff & president of Valmiki Foundation distributed sweet, khara and prizes to all the children.

After the flag hoisting all the staff of Valmiki Foundation participated in blood donation camp at Oxford enclave welfare association and they donated blood for the welfare of the society.
