Independence Day Celebrations 15th Aug 2013

Valmiki Foundation has celebrated 67th Independence Day with the 150 School children of Primary School, Annan nagar.  Valmiki Hair Kishan, Director of Valmiki Group did the Flag hoisting as a chief guest followed by 12 active volunteers of Valmiki Foundation.  Kishan Valmiki has address all the school children and made every child to take the pledge that they will study well once there is 100% literacy happens in India that is the real independence for all of us.  We were ruled by British people because of illiteracy followed by poverty so today every child has right to study well and the future is in the children’s hand.  Lots of leaders have sacrificed their lives to get the freedom from British rulers and still today you can see the problems every where it’s again because of illiteracy. For such biggest democratic Country like India if we eradicate illiteracy then we will have real Independence Day celebrations he added.

Valmiki Foundation has sponsored and distributed prizes for the winners from various sports and arts category.  Kishan Valmiki has thanked Lions Club of Harmony for donating the books to the school children. They have distributed 300 books to 150 students.   Valmiki Volunteers have celebrated by playing patriotic songs and made every child sing and dance.  The school head mistress and staff thanked Valmiki Foundation for all the support given and especially celebrating the Indepedence day with the School and kids.
