Childrens Day Celebrations 2013

On the occasion of Children day Celebrations on November 14, 2013, Valmiki Foundation brought loads of cheers to the children of a government primary school located at , Hasmathpet,Old Bowenpally and pulled off to ensure that the children felt special on this day. The Corporate Head, 121, Old Bowenpally, Shri .Muddam Narsimha Yadav – graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Shri Ch Ramchandar –Rtd DCP as Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries present during the occasion were Rtd Col.NA Kumar currently involved in the welfare of Senior Citizens forum and Defence Veterans Volunteers Group, Mrs Georgina Kumar a social worker, Ln.Surya Ganesh Valmiki - Founder & President,Valmiki Foundation & CMD at Valmiki Group and Sk.Valmiki H Kishan, CEO at Valmiki Group, Well wishers, volunteers from Valmiki Foundation and Passionate NGO also were present. The school and the foundation enthusiastically participated in cultural programs The program ended with distribution of education materials like books, stationary and sweets for 250 children.

Valmiki Foundation is a non profit registered organization under Andhra Pradesh societies registration act of 2001 (Regd No. 38/2008) by a group of social workers. It has been effectively working with the children for the rehabilitation and reintegration.

Valmiki Foundation also manages Valmiki Hriday - a residential home for needy children located at Hasmathpet, Old Bowenpally. The home presently accommodates 25 boys and supports their education and other needs.

The School Principal Mr N Devadas extended warm welcome to everyone present and appreciated Ln Surya Ganesh Valmiki for selecting his school for the children day celebrations. .He also gave a very inspirational message to the children regarding the importance of children day.

The chief guest Shri Muddam Narsimha Yadav was happy to know the vision of Valmiki Foundation and also appreciated the activities undertaken by the foundation. He said that he will be always ready to help such NGO reaching the needy at such occasions.

Rtd Col Kumar in his own way interacted with children and also cited important dates from history related to the birth of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his affection for children.

Rtd DCP. Ch.Ramchandar – In his message, shared a moral story of the three fishes, Sumati, Mandamati and Kalamati and advised children to think like Sumati and emphasized that all children should plan properly and work hard to achieve success.

Ln. Surya Ganesh Valmiki – founder & president of Valmiki Foundation shared his own life story and why he started the foundation. His beloved father Mr.V Venkata Ramanappa who was also an orphan and inspired by the trials and tribulations faced by his father, formed the foundation with missionary zeal and zest to offer residential and educational care to poor and needy children. He assured his full support to students who aspire to study abroad..
