Valmiki foundation is a non profit development organization registered under Andhra Pradesh societies registration act of 2001 (Regd No. 398/2008) by a group of social workers. It has tax exemption under section 80 G of Income Tax act, 1961.

Valmiki foundation has been effectively working with the children for the rehabilitation and reintegration.

Historical background:

Mr.Surya Ganesh Valmiki, CMD of the Valmiki Group, established the Valmiki Consultants to provide honest and impeccable service to the aspiring student community. During the course of the functioning of the organization Mr.Valmiki realized that a good number of brilliant students with excellent academic record, were unable to study in renowned universities in India and abroad due to financial constraints. Moved by this condition of young scholars, he volunteered to help out some of the students. Looking at the enormous number of needy students, Mr. Ganesh Valmiki initiated the idea of setting up a foundation and thus established The VALMIKI FOUNDATION – a registered body committed to the cause of education and also we aim towards conducting several awareness programmes such as Youth awareness, Health Awareness, Environmental awareness, Economic development and Welfare activities for the needy and the poor.

Vision:

To steadily work towards reducing illiteracy amongst the children of India, by facilitating free education through our own educational institutions and adopted schools.

Mission:

To make education accessible to the less-privileged and needy children by providing proper infrastructural facilities in Government schools and ill-equipped private schools and other institutions both at the elementary and high school levels. And also we are strongly committed towards empowering the needy and poor communities in all aspects.

Objectives and Services:

The main objective of the Valmiki Foundation is to encourage students to pursue education, especially those students who are deprived of financial resources. We are also conducting many awareness and developmental activities such as:

• Catering to the educational needs of children who are unable to continue their education due to financial constraints.
• To aid and help the NGOs and institutions who are actively involved in serving the poor, orphans and destitute by sponsoring their requirements.
• To associate with national and international bodies involved in social action, in order to carry out the foundation objectives.
• To undertake extensive research and development programmes to remain updated of the contemporary trends in the fields of social enlistment, and also to design possible intervention strategies.
• To adopt those educational institutions which are unable to function effectively and aid them in attaining self sufficiency and self-reliance.
• To establish autonomous institutions this would cater to the educational needs of the students irrespective of their socio-economic-cultural background.
• To uplift and help the needy and poor by conducting economic development activities, health awareness programmes, environmental awareness activities and rescue rehabilitation activities.

Services:

Valmiki Foundation is now one of the successful organizations in the field of social service, with non-profit motive. It tries to live up to its avowed object of serving the needy students, particularly those intending to study. As part of the services included among these objectives the Foundation provides assistance to the educational needs of poor as well as physically and mentally challenged boys and girls in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Foundation Achievements:

We have been identifying schools and orphanages which need aid. We have conducted many programmes in these organizations aiming towards providing encouragement and strengthening their hope for success. We have been giving scholarships and distributing books, school bags, pens to the needy poor students and rejoining many dropout students in the main stream of education.

• We have provided scholarships to 55 poor children of different orphanages and schools for their educational expenses.
• We have provided Vitamin A capsules to 5,000 poor children.
• We have provided aid to 15 small Ngo’s in kind of cash and kind.

Functioning:

The Valmiki Foundation is an autonomous body functioning in association with the noted Non-governmental organizations like Lion’s club, NICE, Manchikalalu organization, Donbosco Navajeevan etc. The expertise from established organizations in the relevant field are secured in formulating the project preparing proposals, obtaining necessary permissions and implementing schemes to achieve the goals before the Valmiki Foundation.

Target:

The Valmiki Foundation intends to expand its activity further to reduce illiteracy among the under privileged sections of the society. It aims to impart free education through its own educational institutions and adopted schools. It also contemplates to provide adequate infrastructural facilities in government schools and ill equipped private schools- both at the elementary and high school level- and achieve results with a missionary spirit.
