Valmiki Foundation Events

Republic Day Celebrations (26-01-2011)

The Constitution of India was formally adopted by the Parliament, and India declared itself as a "Republic" on January 26, 1950, a date thereafter celebrated annually as Republic Day in India.

On this occasion Valmiki Foundation visited Govt Primary school, Anna Nagar in association with Lions club of Hyderabad Harmony, to celebrate Republic Day with the school children. There are more than 150 students from Anna Nagar slum area.

All the Valmiki foundation team and Members of Lions club of Hyderabad Harmony participated in flag hoisting, After the flag hoisting children performed cultural programmes, followed by distribution of sweets and khara to all the participants. There was true joy in the faces of all these children, which has filled us with immense pleasure and happiness.

Valmiki Foundation President, delivered inspirational speech; he suggested the children to get good progress in their studies and also informed that he would offer education scholarships to the meritorious children through Valmiki foundation.

On behalf of Valmiki Foundation we have donated educational material like, pens, pencil boxes, crayons, and sketch pens to all the children. The management and children of the school appreciated the services of Valmiki foundation.
