Volunteering

BEING A VOLUNTEER

Volunteering is basically providing services to the needy. A volunteer provides services through a formal organization, with a free will, without any expectation for the benefit of the society. Volunteering is viewed as a significant means to involve people to contribute their resources and skills in the process of development of the society.

Volunteering is simple. It’s about giving your time to do something useful, without getting paid. In return, you get the satisfaction of time and effort well spent. In addition, volunteering can be a great way to:

  • Meet new people
  • Learn new skills
  • Gain useful experience
  • It should also be fun!

The opportunities are huge. Whatever skills and experience you have, there is something that you can do. The best way to see what is available is to contact us. The biggest problem for many people is finding the time to volunteer. It can reduce your choices if you don’t have much time to spare, but many busy people do find suitable opportunities. Volunteers should be above 18 years of age and below 65 years.

Finding the right volunteering opportunity is simply a matter of asking you some key questions:

  • What interests, beliefs, skills or values would you like to pursue?
  • What challenges overlap with what you want to do?
  • What skills do you have that could be useful for our kind of organization?

By Volunteering, you will get

  • A way to meet new people or broaden the mindset
  • To make a difference in someone’s life
  • An opportunity to support a cause you feel strongly about
